UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2022

Hello everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the UCLA MSN Fall 2022 cohort since applications are now submitted. Hope we can all support each other through this process.

I applied for the FNP program. What program did you guys apply for? Good luck to everyone!!

There is a list of schools they accept health assessment from, but I called some of the colleges and they only offer those classes to their nursing students. I also think it’s a little crazy that we have to retake the class, assuming we do a full head to toe on our patients while at work. ?

No bother! 
I believe the Monday lecture is 0800-1100 am (that’s the only option, no second class) and Wednesday lab varies, I believe there’s 3 times (8, 9 and another time… I just know I signed up for 9 something to 11:15)

Hi guys! 
I applied for the ACNP/CNS dual program and submitted for the May 31st deadline. 

I received an email last Friday (6/3) saying my application was complete. 

According to the email, health assessment and human physiology can be taken via ucla Summer classes (if accepted) — but doesn’t Summer term start in two weeks?!

I’m worried that’s not enough time to register, because I applied for the extended deadline and I have noooo idea when acceptance letters will be sent out. 

is anyone else in the same boat or am I the only slacker here? LOL ?

They offer it in Summer C which starts August 1st

I applied for the extended deadline as well for PNP. So anxious for decisions to come out! I’m really hoping it’s by the end of this week because I don’t want to keep waiting! ???

Same, it’s more about the planning for me LOL. Also I’m anxious about making sure I take Human Physiology and Health Assessment on time ?

Me too ? Physiology starts 6/21 right? And Health assessment starts August? So I’m assuming the decisions must be before the 21st then! I emailled Mark and he said we are all guaranteed spots so there’s no need to worry.

Oh okay! I’m not sure when the classes start to be honest, and  I have no clue where to look haha. My plan is to just wait and see if I get accepted to begin with, and then figure out the rest later ?

All I know is that Summer term starts 21st. But according to Pnpsf there are classes for “Summer C” in August. So I am hopeful. But I am even more hopeful that I get accepted lolol. 

Yes! I’m hoping we hear by 21st as well, but I would rather know sooner than later - like tomorrow LOL. Keep us updated and good luck!

Here is the exact message:

Physical Assessment (This course must be completed within the last three years and on the approved list) (If admitted, this course can be completed during Summer Session C, starting August 1, 2022 to September 9, 2022 at UCLA)

Human Physiology (This course must be completed within the last five years) (Nursing 3 is an online course that will be offered during the Summer Session C starting August 1, 2022 to September 9, 2022 at UCLA). Pathophysiology is not acceptable prerequisite course.
