UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2020

Hi y’all! Just wanted to start a thread for the UCLA MSN Fall 2020 Cohort! Days are feeling longer and longer since submitting the apps. What program did you guys apply for? I applied for the FNP program!

Residence status is for in state vs out of state determination. But they said they have stricter guidelines than most schools for who qualifies. I’ve been living here for 2.5 years, so just wanted to make sure I’m considered instate ?

Where do we get the status for this? Would it be on the Ucla portal?

I believe as long as you’ve physically been in California for at least one year before classes officially start then you’re good with proof of intent to stay here as well. I looked through their Residence Policy as I had the same concern!

I got an email on March 24 to fill out a long questionnaire for determination and it said it would take 10-15 business days for them to review it and then it would be stated in MyUCLA under academics and then registration status

Hey guys! Hope your quarantine is going well.

Has anyone heard any update on how to enroll for physical assessment and grad research this Summer?

Just got an email from the Financial Aid director about a loan for these Summer classes and he mentioned Summer school applications are due April 30th. Ahh!!

When I emailed with them last Thursday, they said someone “will be sending you a PTE number later
this Spring for you to enroll in the course as well as nursing research.” So I think it’s still too early to register.

Hi,

Has anyone been able to register for physical assessment? I haven’t received the PTE number to register. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe right now.

I emailed the UCLA Registrar and they said that the deadline to enroll for Summer Session C is August 7th at 5pm. MC says they'll email us the PTE number by late Spring so we should have time! Wish it were sooner so we'd feel more confident about official acceptances / prereqs, but I guess it can't be helped

Has anyone heard anything ? ? PTE #? I'm nervous how these Summer classes will proceed since they will most likely be online. And if we take research we won't have access to the research center ?
