Anyone applying for the MEPN Program at UC Irvine this year? Keep us updated if you receive any new information from the school! :)

Hi all!!

I also received an email yesterday (3/6) at around 4:21 pm about the interview.

Let's keep it going, who else? Anyone with any news ?

I am still waiting on an email. Hopefully they didn't get through everyone yet?

Hey guys, they told me all interview invites have already been sent out. Unfortunately, I did not get an invite. Congrats to those who did!

Same, I just called the SON and they said they sent out their invites already. I didn't get one but congrats to those who did!

I didn't get mine. Congrats on those who did!

Rats. No interview either :/ congrats to those who did! hopefully I'll see some of the rest of you at USD!

I called as well because I have to let UCLA know if I am registering by next week and they said all interview requests were sent out yesterday.

Hi, for those who received an acceptance, would you mind sharing some stats? :) I want to see where I need to improve next time around.

@soon_tobenurse1 I believe after interviews they will let us know if we're accepted or not. But I have hospital experience, leadership, research, and public health experience as well.

Sorry I mean received an interview invite*

Congrats on whoever got an interview!

I applied to their BSN twice during my undergrad and their MEPN twice. Obviously not fond of me and my 1000000 hours of experience working as a CNA in a hospital/rehab facility and everything else I have done. Thats cool though, destiny has led me some place else and I am blessed.

When it comes to me,

I do not have the best GPA but besides volunteer/patient care hours, I did a lot of health promotion within my community. I'm a Kinesiology major so I was part of a fitness club at school where we went to different park locations in the San Fernando valley promoting healthy communities. This means we gave free exercise programs, gave nutrition advise, and encourage making better choices for the community. With that program, I had a lot of leadership opportunities and exposure to the community.

So if you can find a program or anything that has to do with health promotion within communities, you'll do fine!
