Does anybody have any experience there or know someone who does? They have a nursing recruitment page with what looks like a pretty decent benefits package....... Anybody have any comments?

Very nice facility. I haven't heard any of the employees that work @ Pepin complain about it. It's a beautiful building, has a good staff, & like the Women's Center have their own parking lots separate then those who work in the main part of the hospital. Come to think of it I don't hear complaining in the main part of the hospital like at other hospitals either but the Pepin bunch is the happiest of all.
Draw back the hospital is in the middle of the hood. Positive the security guards are not ancient & they do look out for everyone's cars as much as they can. Also the hospital sits on the line between two jursidictions so Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office and Tampa Police Department are able to respond so there's no huge lags in getting help. I don't work there though. I do clinicals next door @ in the main part of the hospital.
Free coffee & tea all day long in the cafeteria and the food is cheap and not bad at all at UCH. Pepin has the only for pay cofee in all of UCH because Starbucks is inside of it. Kinda funny really.
Thanks for the feedback Cookie, I've heard alot of good stuff about UCH and their website does look very nurse friendly, it always helps to have first hand info from someone that has been around the facility....

I work at Pepin now. Not in the new building but in the old part but it has been redesigned a bit. I do not agree that it is in the middle of the hood. Its right next to the USF campus and maybe on the edge of the so called hood. Head north a bit and you are in a quite nice neighborhood. The hood is really a bit more to the SW, closer to University Mall. I work at night and park in the garage so my car seems to be safe since there are cameras and security patrolling.
