I talked to a current student in the concurrent program, who applied for the basic twice and didn't get in. She said that people with GPA's of 3.9-4.0 and with TEAS scores of 90+ get in. I am a bit confused because the academic adviser for nursing said something different. That the average GPA was a 3.6-3.8 and the average Teas was a 85. The nursing student also said that by the time interviews are being done, that the decision on who to admit is already made, they're just doing the interview as a formality. I don't know how much of this is true, but I am definitely making sure I apply to 3 tracks (accelerated, traditional, and concurrent). I've also been debating on whether I should retake the Teas. I got an 86 the first time I took it.
Oh Wow!! Now is the GPA you are talking about the pre-req or the cumulative? Because I talked to a student who is in the basic program now, and she said that they mainly look at the pre-req. because they really don't care what you got in those other classes. I've taken my TEAS twice now, and my score is a 90. I'm trying to decide if I should take it again as well. It's just sooo competitive. This program is my #1 choice!
The student I think was referring to pre-req GPA, however the advisers average GPA I am not too sure. I have a 4.0 (all completed) pre-req GPA, so I am not too concerned about that. I'm now getting scared that my TEAS score is too low, despite being within the normal range of admittance (adviser said between 85-87). In most universities (all others I looked at) they place a good amount of weight on overall GPA too.
I'm a current student that was accepted last year. Pre-req GPA is most important! They want you to have a 4.0 in those to be considered competitive. I scored below 85 on teas (and a lot of people accepted scored below 85). The cutoff for your group depends on the overall strength of the pool of applicants.

Hello!
The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?
I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.
