UCF 2013 Fall-Orlando generic BSN applicants?

U.S.A. Florida

Starting a thread for others applying to this program!

Does anyone know how long it takes the CON to receive the background check info and fingerprints from certified background? I'm trying to figure out when I'll submit it without cutting it too close to the deadline.

My understanding is that you definitely have to submit it before the deadline. When I submitted stuff to certifiedprofile.com, I had received results of certain checks within 5-6 days. They send it to you documents tab in you certifiedprofile.com account. That's when I assumed CON could see it too if they looked that is. ;)

FDLE fingerprinting process depends on how soon you make your fingerprinting appointment at the nearest UPS store location.

They give you all info on how to do it with your application pin that you requested.

I run my background check way before I submitted my application a few days ago.

Once you done with it, it just sits there and awaits to be looked at by CON.

Your application can be submitted whenever you're ready ( say you still working on improving your TEAS score) to submit it as long as it's before the deadline.

This is how I understand this process.

Hope this helps.

You can always call CON and ask them.

That answers my question. Thanks :)

I have already completed my background check and fingerprinting. I suggest doing this ASAP! You definitely do not want to wait until last minute, and have to stress over whether or not you have gotten it done on time or not! The only confusion I have is, when I sign onto my CertifiedProfile account, the little section still has an Incomplete. This is because it says that the "Eligible for Placement" section still says Incomplete? Im guessing this is the section where the committee looks at? Does anyone else have this same problem? Do you guys think that it will take long for them to check that section off? Or possibly they will be doing so while over looking the applicants after application deadline.

Hey jackievictoria-- I have the same message on mine too and I emailed the CON this afternoon about it. I'll let you know what they say once I get a response. I'm assuming that it will be completed after the application deadline and they start picking out candidates but I emailed them just to find out exactly what it means.

Okay, awesome! Thanks, keep me updated! How's everyone holding up? Feeling anxious? I am retaking my TEAS the first week of February. Trying to study little by little every day. Anybody have any advice for studying?!

I'm starting to get antsy lol. Contemplating whether or not I'm going to retake the TEAS.

Phew- glad to know I'm not the only one with the incomplete section under the fingerprinting part. Please do tell what they say, because I emailed and never heard back about it!

I got a 92% on the TEAS by focusing on some basic science (chem, bio, etc) and being confident with basic, no-calculator math (long division, multiplication, etc). That and just make sure you read everything carefully! :)

The fingerprinting portion is even harder if you are an out of state applicant like myself. I had to pay and additional 52 bucks for a subsidiary company to send a fingerprinting packet. That was three weeks ago and I have not recieved anything. I finally gave up and contacted a local agency in Arkansas and had them fingerprint me and then I mailed it in. An advisor at the CON said that this would be acceptable.

Con finally replied:

"If you completed the instructions for the Background/Fingerprinting that would be all that is necessary for that requirement."

guys. need help. how can i obtain a livescan to be submitted to florida since i am in california. can that be possible? how is the procedure coz like ups they dont do livescan for the state of florida

Email the advisor and he will reply with a link which gives you the option for non Florida residents to apply. You will have to obtain your own fingerprinting form and have an agency complete your prints. Then you just drop it into the mail. I just did a google search for local fingerprinting agencies and they supplied the form.
