UCF 2015 FALL BSN traditional program

Published

Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:

Cum. GPA: 3.73

Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84

as for the teas I take it next month

(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)

Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)

P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)

we wont know our schedule until the nursing orientation BUT the class times we will have are already up. we should be taking: Essentials of nursing class and lab NUR3028 and NUR3028L, Health assessment class and lab NUR3065 and NUR3065L, Community health nursing class and clinical NUR3634 and NUR3634L, Essentials of nursing practice clinical NUR3755L, and the role of the professional nurse NUR3825. all of these should be our fall classes. you can go to plan classes on myucf and pick all of these to make a mock schedule to see how it will pretty much look. a few might be different times but i think at least 2 of them are only one time (for all 120 of us to take at once) so itll give you a good idea.

this might seem like a lot but when you make the schedule you see its not so bad. classes and labs on mon/tues/wed and a clinical on thurs/fri (only one clinical at a time! one is the first half of semester and the other is the second half)

this is all based off of what i have looked up myself so it might not be 100% accurate just as a disclaimer but pretty positive its correct.

Thank you so much! I saw that also but will go in and make a "plan." I just didn't know if we picked from available classes or if we are assigned the class times, does that make sense? I think I'm still in shock over being accepted! I'm actually doing the 4/10 orientation since I was able to get a sitter for my son! Anyone else signing up for this date?

i think they might pick the exact times but theres only so many options so we still will know a lot of it

Ugh - I am too tired to try and figure that all out right now! I want someone to just tell me what class numbers to take and pray that I don't have any classes that run late into the evening (like the labs that go until 7pm). I have heard from previous or current students that it is class/lab M/T/W and then clinicals Th/F....

Should we start like a closed facebook group for the group? Maybe more people would be likely to join and/or comment?

yea i hear ya, my "planned" schedule has none that go that late if it makes you feel any better and sure, i dont see why not.maybe fb would be more active. last years forum had like 25-30 pages by now and the year before had like 60 pages by now of comments. i dont get why this years forum is so quiet.

especially since now we're accepted "conditionally", aha. it makes me nervous though, the conditional part. i keep thinking what if something goes awry and i get declined. theres quite a few things left before its a official.

Don't worry! I totally get it but, I mean they have to say conditionally because we have to be sure to have like, all prereqs done and our immunizations etc etc before we are officially admitted. It's not like we can retroactively fail a previously taken class or the TEAS or anything :cat: I'm pretending it's already official because it makes me feel good haha. Still riding the high of getting that email!!

So am I!!! I already had all my titers drawn as my mom never saved my immunization records. I have one more shot for the hep B series in May and I will get my physical and TB test done at that appointment. I agree! I know it says "conditional" but we are in!!!! And the nice thing is, we have some time to get things done!

I don't have my immunization records or titers done at the moment but I believe I can get the records from my old high school. If not oh wellll titers time whenever I go have the physical etc. I'm suuuuuper glad we have a lot of time. My household is going to be hemorrhaging money this summer getting ready for this ahhh lol. I think we should totally make a facebook group too!

Ok cool! I'll create it :)
