Hello everyone! I just wanted to start this small thread for anyone applying to the UCF FNP program for fall 2020. I am finishing up my BSN from UCF in December and from there I will be taking my GRE around December as well and submit everything I need to! If anyone has already been accepted from a previous year and is just lingering in this forum and don't mind helping anyone that have any questions please do! I'm excited to start this new journey. Feel free to post any stats or if you've applied previously and we're not accepted, or just anything that you think would help everyone here. I have no clue or insight on the acceptance rate , how many people are in the program or how hard it is to get in

Stats: AA RN GPA: 3.2

BSN work: 3.93

Overall GPA: 3.55

No GRE stats yet

Also, I'm an ER nurse in the central florida area and would like to stay in the ER as a ENP/FNP it's my home.

Hi,

I am a new grad interested in applying. I currently work on a medsurg unit. I am getting all of my documents together. My BSN is from UCF 4.0 and my overall is 3.45. I graduate with my BSN Spring 2020

Scheduled to take the GRE January 15, do you know what they consider a “competitive score”?

Thanks.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply honestly thought this thread would be dead haha

But yes! I saw the advisor and he said a 300 is all you need, get the 300 and you're good to go. He didn't say any higher would make you more competitive but less and it would knock a point off your app.

Also I took the gre on Monday and i got a 300 exactly! 150/150 so I may not be the best resource for tips but if anyone wants to know anything about it just comment!

That’s awesome! Congratulations. How long did you study for? And what did you use to study? I have practiced with the ETS book, and their practice POWERPLUS exams ,on that simulated exam I got a 285, I still have a few more days to practice.

do you know how many people get admitted per year?

I studied seriously about a month like 3 days a week for 4 hours , did not touch a book on my days working.

I used GREGMAT (AMAZING) the ets manuals and that's about it. I bought magoosh but never really touched it.

That question I have no clue about I asked the advisor but I didnt get a real exact answer

Where do we submit the reference letters? I do not see it on the application? Thanks.

Should just be in the graduation application when you apply

When are you submitting your application?

I already submitted my graduate app and paid the fee but I just ordered all of my transcripts and I need to make my personal essay as well as make my CV template which I'm hoping to get all done tomorrow then I'll just have to wait till my transcripts come in. Idk why they cant just get them electronically instead of us scanning it kinda annoying

Are we to submit the grad application first? Then submit the docs?

Gotta submit a generic grad app first then u can submit everything

Just a heads up, if you're taking the gre on the 15th might want to email ucf to make sure they get your score in time it took them 2 weeks and an email to get my score
