UCF DNP FNP 2020

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone! I just wanted to start this small thread for anyone applying to the UCF FNP program for fall 2020. I am finishing up my BSN from UCF in December and from there I will be taking my GRE around December as well and submit everything I need to! If anyone has already been accepted from a previous year and is just lingering in this forum and don't mind helping anyone that have any questions please do! I'm excited to start this new journey. Feel free to post any stats or if you've applied previously and we're not accepted, or just anything that you think would help everyone here. I have no clue or insight on the acceptance rate , how many people are in the program or how hard it is to get in

Stats: AA RN GPA: 3.2

BSN work: 3.93

Overall GPA: 3.55

No GRE stats yet

Also, I'm an ER nurse in the central florida area and would like to stay in the ER as a ENP/FNP it's my home.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply honestly thought this thread would be dead haha

But yes! I saw the advisor and he said a 300 is all you need, get the 300 and you're good to go. He didn't say any higher would make you more competitive but less and it would knock a point off your app.

I'm hoping the score won't knock me down too far. I missed it by 3 and really don't want to retest and wait until next year to apply... guess we'll see

I dont think it should as long as you have a good gpa to back up for it. GRE was so useless imo

Did they specify if that 300 included the writing section? If so, I'm over 300.

You get the unofficial at the end of the test when you submit your scores to your selected school but on the ucf site it says it can take 4-6 weeks but I emailed graduate admissions and they uploaded it like 2 weeks after my test when I asked how long it would take so if you're taking it last minute email grad admissions

I will email them.

are you applying for both FNP and gerontology?

That’s amazing! Is that your bachelors work GPA or your cumulative from the last 60 credits?

How did the essay come along? Did you have an advisor review the essay?
