Hi! No, I actually live in Eustis (Lake County) but have been driving to SCC in Altamonte which is about 45 minutes away. DSC is probably close to the same distance time wise, so I figured I had nothing to lose by applying. I also just finished typing my essays for SCC's UCF program- they take applications in September! Oh! I live in south florida, hopefully I WILL get in then I will live in orlando in one of the off campus housing and travel to Cocoa Beach campus which is a about a 40 min drive to thatg campus. I would stay in Cocoa Beach but I do not know anyone yet to share an apartment with so i will just live in Orlando.

Where do you live in South Florida? Lived in Kendall for a while- have good feiends who just moved up from Weston. Other friends moved up from Homestead. My A & P Ii teacher was telling us about Miami-Dade's direct access PA program. You only need the pre reqs we need for nursing! Kelli

Well, I literally live a street away from Weston which is west of I-75 like weston. I am applying to Miami-Dade, Broward College(where I received my A.A in nursing from but got rejected like 4 times, so I am @ FIU retaking some science core classes, such as, A&P 1{from C to an A-}, A&P 2{C to a ?, taking it this fall}, Chemistry {C to a B, taking it right now}, but I will not retake microbiology which I received a C [79%] ), FIU, FAU.

But I still am applying to BC and with that B in chem I am sure to get in for Spring b/c they only count: English1101, A&P1/lab, A&P2/lab, and Chem

So you definitely are getting in somewhere for Spring?!? That's awesome! I wish I knew I would def get in somewhere for Spring. I finish A & P II tonight ( 6 week course -ugh- got an A though!) and have completed all other classes (with A's in the sciences) but Was still in this class when I applied for ucf at DSC. The ysay you don't have much chance getting in if you apply while still taking pre reqs, but I don't know for sure!My friend that moved up from Weston HATES IT HERE and wants to go back! She is a teacher and misses it so much there. Keep me posted and I'll do the same! Kelli

Brittany-I couldn't find my way back to this link and I wasn't sure if I added you correctly as a friend, so I just posted a new thread! I found out on Thursday that I GOT IN!!! Orientation is Jan 5 and Jan 6 or 6 and 7. From 8-5!!! I still can't believe I got in!! Kelli

I am so happy that you got in and hope you do great in the program, may GOD BLESS YOU. Well, I haven't received anything YET so hopefully the cocoa beach campus receives there acceptance letters next week. I will keep you posted and I PRAY that I get in
