Hey guys! I have been searching to see if anybody has started a thread for those who have/are applying to UCFs Concurrent Programs! The ones I am interested in are Seminole State's and Valencia's Concurrent Programs. Has anybody else applied to UCFs Concurrent Programs for the Fall of 2013?!
In the Seminole State nursing information session they said 6-8 weeks but on UCF's nursing website it states:
"Please note: Decisions will not be made until after the application deadline. This process can take 6-8 weeks for the Basic B.S.N. and Accelerated 2nd Degree B.S.N. programs, and 4-6 weeks for the R.N. to B.S.N. and Concurrent A.S.N. to B.S.N. programs."
So the website says 4-6 weeks, but last years applicants didn't hear back till the 7th week it's only been 2 weeks this coming Friday! Let the wait continue.
Hopefully you guys hear soon from SSC. I got accepted to UCF and I'm taking that spot, so one less applicant in the pool! We got the acceptance email sooner than expected, maybe that's a sign that you guys will get an answer for the concurrent earlier too. I know what it feels like to wait, and it was horrible. Good luck y'all
Hi everyone!
I applied to the SSC Concurrent and Valencia's generic Atlas. This will be my second app for SSC Concurrent, as the first one I got waitlisted for by UCF and SSC. I heard the waiting list for Valencia is years out. Should I still be applying for Valencias concurrent now even though the generic program I am lined up for is in 2015? It's all so confusing... lol
Good luck to you guys! :)

It may be too late to apply for Valencia's concurrent. But I thinks it's better to apply to the concurrent id u have met all the requirements because if you get in there is no 2 year wait to start. You would start this fall. ( or whatever year u apply for) . I got in last yr but was unable to start because my nutrition credit transferred to UCF but Valencia didn't accept it. Which is kinda dumb because why would they accept me if I wasn't able to start lol
@livingadream I remember your username on the
Seminole discussion board in October!! I was waitlisted too and never
Got in... This time around I was finally accepted to the basic. So don't worry!!!! Since you didn't get in for spring it
Actually gives u an advantage this time around because now you have
An earlier date to which all ur pre reqs were finished! Which was one thing they looked at. I am sure u will get In this
Time!!

It's 6-8 weeks for Seminole, right? It hasn't even been two since the application was due.
