Don't be so shocked. Many Psych MA's/ MS's are heading back to school. In Florida, jobs are very limited due to oversaturation by new grads. The average pay for a starting master's level counselor is mid-20's to low 30's here. I lucked out by falling into a very niche job-I do psych testing. But there is no growth from there and if my client (who you must remember is not exactly in top mental form) no-show's or reschedules, I don't get paid. I want to do nursing then NP.
I know many others who are headed back to be PTs, OTs, even Physical Therapy Assistants who can count on more money and more consistent work!

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if UCF applicants (accelerated and basic BSN) have heard anything back yet? I was told this is the first year they will be doing interviews, so I don't think the previous years' timelines are going to be very applicable. I am sitting on pins and needles waiting on an email invite for the interview so I was wondering if anyone else got one yet?
I don't know if I am a decent applicant or not. 3.25 GPA and 4.0 GPA pre-req, BS in Psych, MS in Psych/Counseling and a 92 on the TEAS. Some people say that's good, others say I'd better light some candles and pray. If I know when people are getting their letters, I can ease my anxiety a little!
Thanks!
