Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

Hey! I was wondering if you can explain to me about applying to both the accelerated and the regular BSN program? Did you apply to both or just one? Also, does it hurt your chances to apply to both? Sorry for the questions, just curious! :)

Hey, you simply request both applications and apply! Yes, I applied to both and no it doesn't hurt your chances by doing so. You will obviously hear from the accel program first (since it starts in May) which most likely is the one you will want to be in since you will graduate sooner ...assuming that you can stick with the course load. If you cannot you will have to fall back into the basic program like some students in the accel program had to do.

Do you have the Fingerprinting Instruction Form or know of a link where I can find it? I think I did something wrong on the Certifiedbackground website and now I can't find it. Their support Call Center is not open on Saturdays either otherwise I'd be calling them right now :(

At the moment I'm stuck at this website now:

Hey, maybe I can help. Did you request the application form from UCF yet? From there they should have instructions...on the certifiedbackground website, they have instructions like 1-4 on how to proceed and get fingerprints. Hope that helps? Or maybe I wasn't sure of what you were asking. lol

Yes. The instructions 1-4 that you're talking about. I need step 1, which is to download the fingerprinting instructions. I can't set up the Fingerprinting appointment without the Fingerprinting Instructions. Apparently it's a PDF to download or something, it looks like?

Did you click on the #1 under the Florida FDLE Fingerprints-Daon? Once you do it opens up where you have somewhere for a receipt confirmation and a place to download the form. Then after that you click #2 and it says to follow the instructions that you downloaded in #1 called "Fingerprint Instructions"?

Yes I have done this. I need the Fingerprint Instructions file to download. In other words, I need to find the place to download the form. I am assuming this might be a PDF file or something similar. I think there was some sort of error when I was trying to proceed through the steps, as I never saw a link to find the form which is why I need it now.

YES that's the link I needed... but it's not there. Can you email me if the form is downloadable? You would be my hero and this would save me a phone call to their callcenter. I will PM you my email addy if that's alright.
