UCF ABSN Summer 2020

I haven't seen a thread for this upcoming cycle yet. The application opens in January and I was wondering if anyone else was planning on applying.

Did anyone else receive an email update for the scholarship?

I did.. says I was deemed ineligible but the reasons given did not make sense. Was about to email back to get clarification.

Yea same! I didn’t get it either cause I was accepted...

The same thing happened to me. It made it sound like I was ineligible due to not being accepted, which is definitely not the case based on the email last week. It must have been a technical glitch. I was about to email them for clarification as well.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I was wondering if you any of you guys have figured out where you're going to be living because I have no idea where a good place to live would be.

I’ve been looking at housing options, but haven’t found a good place yet. I joined a facebook group for UCF Housing and I’ve pretty much just been looking on there. I’m leaning towards finding a room to sublease in a house because I’ve been hearing such mixed reviews about the apartment complexes there. If anybody from the area has any suggestions or input, I would appreciate it too!

I got the email about the scholarship too, and I am also confused. How could we not be competitive for the ABSN program if we were accepted? None of their reasons for being denied make sense. Has anyone received good news about the scholarship?

I currently live in Orlando. All of the apartment complexes close to UCF are basically the same. They’re all expensive and kind of *** LOL. I lived at Arden Villas last year and it was fine. They have a shuttle service to campus but the CON is far from where the bus drops you off and I believe that parking at the CON isn’t really an issue. Right now I live at Knightsbridge at Stoneybrook, which is about 20 minutes from the CON and I would recommend it.

Hey guys, I heard back about the scholarship email. I was basically told that although I met all the criteria, I wasn’t as competitive as other applicants. So good luck to those that haven’t heard back yet!!
