UCDHSC - Colorado applied!

Hi all! This is my first post as I just registered. I just sent off my application to the University of Colorado for the BSN program. I am super nervous and hate playing this waiting game alone! So has anyone else applied and waiting? I have a 3.8 GPA but I am worried since so many people accepted have 4.0s. I am also told we will wait till November or December to hear if we got in. I did this for priority review since my pre reqs were done. They are also accepting apps until Nov and those will hear early next year. Anyone else applied and have advice or thoughts? I am so nervous!

You're lucky alippin, I don't have my pre-reqs done yet. You will find out before me if you get accepted, and yours will be unconditional. I will find out in late Feb, early March, and it will be conditional on completing the pre-reqs. I hate the wait! I have a 4.0, but still have classes to take. Did you go to an info session? If you did, don't forget that they said they have turned down those with great grades if they had a poor essay, but accepted people with great essays with lower GPAs. I think if you did a good essay you should place well! I am nervous (REALLY NERVOUS) about mine!! Good Luck!!

I am very nervous about my essay too. I know they ask specific questions but it is so hard to decide how to answer, what to include, how personal to get, etc. I just hope it was enough to get me in. I do hope to find out by the end of the year. I am told if I don't get in this round that my app will automatically go in with the others to be reviewed early next year so I guess I get two shots. I went to an info session last year so I didn't go to one this year. That information session was intimidating ha! What pre reqs do you have left?

Sweet - two shots! I know what you mean about the essay. I saw last year's and it was WAY easier than this year's, for me at least. I am currently taking Algebra, HG&D, English comp 2, Anthro and Art appreciation. In the spring I'm going to take Western Civ 1, Western Religions, Music appreciation, Stats and sociology. I have a full load left, but don't expect any major problems. But, you never know - music appreciation may just break me! lol!

colorado! i am so jealous :) i have family that lives there and i was hoping to go through nursing school at csu-pueblo with my cousin. but of course, a custody battle kept me in ny.

anyway, i don't have much advise but i do wish you luck!!

Anyone hear anything yet or know when we will? I was told that they only accept a handful in November and the rest are put back in for March acceptances. So long away! I am just curious what caliber of students they are taking for November if anyone has heard.

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail for Summer start date!!! I am so excited and yet still in shock!!
