UCCS BSN Fall 2015

Published

Hi all,

I was wanting to see if anyone else on here is applying for the traditional BSN program at UCCS for this fall and if so what their gpa and Hesi score were. It seems pretty tough to get in.

Congrats!!! Have any of you received the welcome packet that was mailed out last Monday yet?

I received mine Thursday :)

Congrats, all! I received my Welcome Packet in the mail yesterday (Saturday). I live out of state so sometimes mail from CO is a little slow. Excited to open it!

I haven't received mine yet and I only live about an hour and a half away. I am ready to get all the stuff done that needs to be done!

I was wondering what grade those of you who got in received in A&P I and II and in the prerequisite chem classes?

I am not sure how strongly they look at individual grades, I know GPA must be over 3.0 to even be considered. And I think you must pass them with a C or higher as well. I did pretty good in those courses (A) and the information that I learned from them is extremely important and helpful because the classes like Patho and Pharm really do seem to build off of them. They expect you to really know and understand the material that you have already learned in those classes to be able to do well. Hope that helps!

I took A&P at another school, and received an A. It was a 4 week accelerated class-tough, but possible! I also took the chemistry classes at another university, and am not sure what my final grades were for those. You do need at least a C to move on, however these classes all build on each other, so being confident in the material will go a long way. Good luck in your studies! :)
