UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Spring 2022

Hi, 

I am planning to apply to the UC Davis nurse residency program this coming November. Just getting prepared for the application period and did not see a forum for this coming period. 

If you have any helpful hints or questions, let's answer them here!! Application open from November 1st - November 8th. Start dates March 14th - May 9th.

Anyone who applied for ED start getting interview calls or application status changes yet?

Received a call for a virtual interview today for float unit/med-surg! I know everyone is trying to keep track of what calls have been made for different units. Hope this helps!

Anyone know if it is possible to get calls for interviews for multiple units? Is anyone familiar w/how UCD usually does this? Thanks!

Mine just says “Routed for Further Consideration” bc and I applied for ED. I haven’t gotten a call for an interview yet though.

@futurenursesoap How did you apply to a specific unit? Requested in your cover letter?

@Charlotteee I was wondering the same. I am sure you can note interest in a certain area but I feel like ultimately they will interview you for where they think you fit best

@Am1240 Yeah we had UCD recruiters speak to my school and they recommended not going to hard for one unit in your cover letter because then other units wouldn't be interested in you. Although if you only want the one unit then it doesn't matter too much!

Yes, so I received calls/emails to interview for two different units within UCD last week so it def is possible.

Yes I did last week for the Womens Health units!

I forgot since I applied to so many units but I did remember specifying. Also my last 2 clinical rotations and my preceptorship was in the ED. 
but ultimately, I think the units will contact us back if they even want us

No I haven't since my interview. I reached out to HR today because I also haven't received any reference check request from them, even though they said they would send it out. Did you get a SkillSurvey request from them?
