Master's Entry Program in Nursing

This would be there first cohort. I remember looking at this page about 3 weeks ago and the application was closed. Im surprised they opened it so soon and have a quick deadline coning up (Feb 1). I already applied to programs but could definitely use a back up since I live in the bay area. I just dont know if I can make that deadline (as far as LORs)

FYI just received this email regarding eligibility for the CNA Exam:

"We wanted to follow up with you regarding your inquiry about our students' CNA eligibility. Our leadership has determined that students are eligible to take the CNA exam after successful completion of their first quarter of classes. Summer quarter grades will be posted by late September."

That's good news, thanks!

I also saw UCDMC has a student nurse position in various units. You can apply to them after your "second semester", but idk how that relates to the quarter system since I've never done quarters. It looks like you're essentially a tech for the unit you're on. Since it's a student position, it's hopefully flexible on hours!

Congratulations again to all of the newest students for the program! I was just wondering if you guys have started yet and what it's like. I'm in the application process right now for the MEPN and I'm still working on my personal statement. I'm so nervous and excited! I hope and pray I get into the next round and meet you all!

Bumping this forum.

Also looking for feedback from any students in the Davis MEPN. I'm currently looking into several programs trying to debating between an ABSN/MEPN. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Just curious, did anyone use one communication course to satisfy both verbal and group communication?

For instance, I plan to use Public Speaking to satisfy the verbal and group communication requirement and some other writing course to satisfy the written communication requirement.
