UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hello everyone! Just wanted to create a forum for UC Davis' New Grad RN Residency March 2026 Cohort which opened today. Good luck to all those that are applying!

Anyone been routed? I hear they can take a while but mine still says under review.

Mine still says reviewed. I checked last years 2025 cohort for March and it looks like things picked up a bit after Christmas/early January.

Yes there's several that have been routed! I have friends that did their preceptorship in ICU, ED and med/surg be routed but that doesn't mean too much. People are having their status change at different times even if they were in the same unit. Definitely be patient and remain hopeful because things slow down around the holidays! It also really depends on the unit but PICU is moving fast. Interviews are already happening this week and we should get job offers sent out within the next few weeks.

That's good to know! Thank you guys for the responses. I did my preceptorship in the ER half the time and NICU other half. I definitely think I'll just need to wait and see with the holidays coming up. Keep us posted on here for offers!

You're welcome! I will keep people posted of what I find out! I forgot to add that I do know of someone who was routed and is interviewing for NICU in early January but she precepted on that unit at Davis. I have not heard of anything for ED yet!!

Just saw I was routed. Don't know when it actually happened but I did my preceptorship in the Operating Room and hope to get an interview to be an OR nurse. Anyone else did OR?

Has anyone who applied to the May 2026 Cohort heard anything yet? My application still says under review.

Some have some haven't! Scroll up to read more about some of the units that have been contacting people.....  but know that everything has slowed down because of the holiday so I wouldn't be expecting any updates any time soon unfortunately. An update since I last posted, one of my friends did get an interview for ED that will be happening early January. He did not precept at Davis.

Thank you!! Yeah, I figured everything would be slow around this time. I didn't know if they were doing the interviews for the March cohort first then May, but maybe they're doing it all together. Thanks again for the update

Of course! It is super variable and depends on the unit and when they choose to start. PICU has a May start but they are already done interviewing and we are waiting to hear next steps!

It depends on the unit. PICU was done in person and ED is going to be virtual
