Hello,
I recently had an interview at UBC for the accelerated RN program but I still haven't heard anything. Just curious if anyone else has been accepted yet? Any thoughts on the interview?
Thanks

does anyone know how competitive the program is to get into? How many people apply/how many get accepted? Avg GPA for students admitted? Thanks
ok guys, i'm starting to lose hope. it's been a month since the interview and they said they would call in 2-3weeks if you are accepted. they should have said something on the website if they are accepting more people this year so that's why it's taking longer. i dunno guys, i wish the nursing department would just pick up the damn phone and tell us what is happening.
It is so frustrating, but don't give up hope since it seems no one has heard anything at all. I emailed Ruxandra about two weeks ago and she said we will be contacted whether we are accpeted or declined so we should be informed of our status soon.
Let's hope for today!!!!!
fingers crossed :)
I forgot to say that I do agree...their website could be a lot more informative...they offer pretty basic info.
anything? has anyone heard?

I got a phone call this afternoon. I didn't get a chance to call back before Roxundra left for the day and she said she wouldn't be back until 8:30 on Monday. I got an email that said I was accepted for September (at 3:45 today), which I imagine is because I didn't call back.
If you haven't heard yet, I wouldn't worry because I'm guessing that they will take at least a few days to get through everybody, especially if she has to check messages and call people back again.
I think that they were accepting a dozen or so in September and about 70 in January. They don't have first year entry anymore, but there are still people that are going into third year that started in 2004 in first year.
