Hello,
I'm new to the site and I saw the thread for last years appilcants to UBC nursing so I thought I would start one for this year.
How is the application going for everyone, any tips from 2010 intake?
Hi everyone,
I have also applied to the UBC nursing program and am still awaiting the admissions decision... Anyone heard anything yet? I submitted my application on January 1st, but I don't really think the time you submit determines when you hear back. So nervous, but good luck to everyone!
Hi everyone,
I have been following this link since applying and it has been good to see all your comments. I am from the UK and have tried various different ways to work out my gpa to try and make it as high as possible. I know its ridiculous but stopped me worrying about it so much! I sent my supplemental on Dec 2nd, and have felt powerless, I should have waited until later.
Really hope we get admission decisions soon, not knowing is getting to me, good luck!

@Krala33 - Hey I had the same problem since I am Applying from California our grading scheme is more extreme than Canadian. All our Universities grading Scheme goes something like this A=100-90%, B=80-89%, C=70-79%, D=60-69%, F= Below 69%. We dont use A Plus or minuses in universities here. So what I did was I told my Dean to write a letter explaining our grading scheme to UBC admissions. I got accepted in my second choice and they transferred 60 credits to UBC, so I'm not sure if that helped because they didnt tell me if they took that under consideration.
I hope you sent some kind of grading scheme which explains your grades in percentage because in my transcripts it only shows the grades (not percentage). UBC gets applications from all over the world. Different countries or even institutes have a unique grading schemes. Im sure they take those under consideration to be fare to students. But its entirely up to you to send it otherwise they will use UBC grading system.
