UALR 2019 NURSING APPLICANTS

U.S.A. Arkansas

Published

Hey y’all ! I wanted to start a forum for the 2019 applicants for UALRS nursing program! I have a 3.2 in my nursing prerequisites and a 2.8 gpa with the university! I have all prerequisites done except for Chem ( I am currently taking micro now, spring 2019) And I am hoping to get accepted into the accelerated program. I thought this forum would be useful for us to keep up with what’s going on as far as letters going out , and program requirements!

I had As and Bs just 1 C that was English comp 1

You can go to ualr.edu and use there calculator for GPA put those classes in and the grade and it will give you you're GPA. They told me this year they they want students to have atleast a 3.0 in those classes since thats all you need to get in or they choose a different student that has that grade thats what happend to me last year. Hopefully we all get in once our grades hit

The last class would be either phycology and human experiences or sociology

Is anyone in here currently a patient care tech? If so, could I get some information from you. I'm going to have to quit my current day job and I am looking to get a night shift job. TIA

I work at the VA you can email me at

Well I got an email. Wait listed ?

So many ppl waitlisted

I wonder how long the waitlist actually is. I know they’re waiting on my grades from my current classes, just curious.

They wont let anyone now till the grades are posted and you hand them your final transcript. So I bet they will let us know around the 20th like the email said which will only give us 8 days till classes start to get everything to start :(

The tears was truly real today!!! Guess I'll start studying for the Baptist test.

Do you have to be certified to work there? Also is the 5 week training period (8a-5p Mon-Fri) set in stone? I would love to get some experience in a hospital but with class obviously that training schedule isn’t possible.
