Hi there! I am applying for UALR’s nursing program this year. I transferred my psychology and microbiology courses. Currently taking Comp I, College Algebra, and A&P I. I’ve noticed in previous years most of the people that commented had all or most of their prerequisites done. Hopefully I get in but I won’t be totally bummed if I don’t. Best wishes!
Hey all! I am currently attending UALR and have applied to the accelerated program as well. I have completed all prerequisite for both the AAS and BSN minus chem, stats, writing for work and world lit but I am taking them all now. My overall gpa is 3.1 and my nursing gpa is 3.3. I know that acceptance letters probably won’t go out until March but the wait is nerve wracking!
Hi all, I've also applied to the Nursing program. I have no idea what my overall GPA is, but my nursing GPA is a 3.3. I'm currently taking College Algebra, and A&P 1. Once I complete these classes all I will have left to take is A&P 2. So I'm hoping the fact that I will only have one class to take once the program will help me stand out as an applicant and allow me to start this year. I'm also applying to Baptist as well. I've heard great things about UALR's nursing program. I am sweating waiting for the letters to start going out.
What’s up y’all. I applied this semester as well. Hopefully I get accepted for the fast track. Looks like last year the first round of applicants found out around spring break whether or not they got in. All I lack from associates prerequisites is micro. I am going to take it later with nursing. I took chem last semester and my instructor was awesome. I don’t think I am going to apply to Baptist as I clept out of classes at UALR and baptist wants me to take them. I heard last year that 3.3 gpa was close to the cutoff for gpa for admittance. That makes me wonder what gpa I need for fast track. Hopefully mine is good enough. Good luck to you all!
Hey everyone! I applied for the accelerated option too. I have all of the nursing pre-reqs done, so I’m hoping for the best.
Quick question...does anyone know if the nursing department lets us know when they have received the application package that you mail in? I’ve been having some issues with the mail getting my transcripts and shot records to the undergrad admissions office, so just want to make sure that’s not the case with my nursing application as well. I’ll call and make sure they received everything if I dont hear from them soon, but just thought I’d ask here first.
Good luck!

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you take Chemistry at?

Hey y’all ! I wanted to start a forum for the 2019 applicants for UALRS nursing program! I have a 3.2 in my nursing prerequisites and a 2.8 gpa with the university! I have all prerequisites done except for Chem ( I am currently taking micro now, spring 2019) And I am hoping to get accepted into the accelerated program. I thought this forum would be useful for us to keep up with what’s going on as far as letters going out , and program requirements!
