UAB FNP Summer 2017

Published

HI everyone! I am applying for the UAB FNP program for the Summer 2017 admission. Just wanted to get a page started for all that were applying so that we can keep each other motivated. Good luck to everyone :)

This wait seems like forever..if that's the case and from looking at previous posts we hopefully should be able to log into blazernet by the beginning of next week maybe?? (If we were accepted)

I know!! CRAZY :nailbiting:

Has anybody been able to log into Blazernet and see any changes?

Still getting the error message here

Hey guys!

Anxiously awaiting as well. I applied to the Psych NP, with the Psych NP/Pallative care Sub speciality as my second choice. I have about 3 years of LPN experience and 1.5 years of RN experience at the VA hospital. Im currently completing my BSN MOBILITY at UAB. I'm like super anxious awaiting results. I really don't think my app is strong enough to get in. My GPA Isn't strong. I had to take the MAT and only scored a 397 on that. My references are solid though. I did apply for Troy and Samford FNP though as secondary options.

Well welcome JPtravelRN! I think we can all agree that waiting is so nerve racking! I've already told myself that I haven't been accepted a thousand times, but stay hopeful! Since you are in the BSN mobility program, you already have a Blazernet account, correct?

An advisor did tell me that the summer sem is a bit less competitive than the fall. Though I am applying for the ACNP - FA track, Since the ED certification is only open to FNP, which makes perfect sense of course.......

I did not know that! @Product, have you seen any changes in your Blazernet yet?

Nope, still says no holds, not in any group. fingers crossed.

Yes! However no changes have been made to my student standing; I'm still showing as Senior and Undergraduate with the same advisor. I did just call student affairs and was told that they are getting super close to finishing up, their just tallying final scores. I've heard the PMHNP is less competitive than other tracks, which is a added bonus in the summer, as summer is deemed less competitive, but it would be just my luck the year I'm applying it's as competitive as FNP! í ½í¸©

So maybe next week we will hear something!!

I'm hoping so. They said definitely before graduation. Graduation is 12/17/17
