Members are discussing their interview dates, acceptance notifications, and creating a Facebook group for the UAB CRNA Class of 2025. There is also a question about the components of the program and the benefits of choosing different locations for practicum hours. Overall, there is a sense of excitement, support, and sharing of information among the members.

The components are essentially your home base where you’ll complete most of your clinical rotations. You’ll choose 1 or 2 options for your component when applying. You’ll probably still need to travel for some specialty sites (I’m accepted in Birmingham and would need to live in Memphis, TN for a Peds rotation for ~2 months I believe; they have housing sites set up for students). You can still request additional rotations in another city if you want. I believe there was a senior SRNA during our info sessions that is based in Montgomery but told us she would be doing a rotation in Bham to get more variety and out of her normal sites. I’d say go where you feel like you’ll have the most support. And you can always reach out and get advice from the PD. She’s very nice and I’m sure would help you make that decision.
