Hey everyone...
Just thought I'd go ahead and create a thread for UAB's 2016 CRNA program. Please post if you've heard back from the school, gotten notification of an interview, and so forth. The not knowing is driving me nuts!
As for me, I submitted my application by June 1st for the early admission cycle. I haven't heard anything yet, but I did read online that notification of interviews is supposed to be this month sometime.
My stats were as follows: GPA 3.85, ACLS, GRE 155 on both sections & 4 on writing, passed the CCRN, got a year and a half experience in neuro ICU, shadowed for 10 hours or so, precepted a student, and have been relief charge a few times. I'm not sure at all how my stats compare. I don't know anyone who has ever applied or is applying.
So, anyway, good luck to everyone applying and keep us all updated!

did you ever interview?
No, wasn't selected for the early admission. They told me that it was my experience (only 1.5 years at the time) that was holding me back. She said otherwise, my stats were very competitive. In January I'll have 2 years, so I'm hoping it'll be enough! Hoping to hear back next month about an interview since it automatically rolled into regular admission. Have you heard anything?
I believe they only required one year of experience right?
and by early admission you mean the October 1st deadline?
No, the early admission application was due June 1st. Regular admission deadline was October 1st. And yes, one year is the supposed minimum requirement but from what I've gathered, applicants typically have at least two years experience before they're accepted.
