UAB 2019 CRNA Applicants

Published

Hi friends! I know it is early, but anyone else on here that is currently applying for Samford's CRNA program or applied last year and would like to share stats? Trying to figure what my chances are on getting in this year, or if I should wait until next year re-take a few things and boost my scores/grades.

*2 years in Neuro ICU at Level 1 hospital

*Overall GPA: 3.31

*Science GPA: 3.0

*GRE: 302 (150 verbal, 152 quant)

*ACLS, PALS, CCRN

*18 hrs shadowing CRNA

*Involved in multiple committees in unit/hospital

*Student nurse & new hire RN Preceptor

*LORs from ANM, peer RN, former teacher (CRNP), & chief anesthesia resident MD (I was on night shift up until the last couple of months so I did not have a chance to establish relationships with attendings)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Would love to see other applicants stats!!

I do not believe we're technically supposed to know or share interview questions, but we can definitely share tips. Dress nice, be confident, but not cocky, and know that you don't have to know everything they ask you, just know your resources and where you would go to find the answers. They want to know that you are teachable and safe.

Forgot to put my stats sorry!

My interview is the 19th of July and I cannot wait to meet you guys!! Praying for you all!!

Guys, I need your help. I have interview scheduled for July 23 at 7.30 am, I will not be able to make it without buying new airplane tickets. I am looking for someone with interview scheduled for 19th to switch with mine! Please, please! Program administrator Stacey Smith knows about my dilemma, if anyone here can help me please contact her! Her number is 205-975 4094. Thank you!

Well, nvm, apparently they schedule interviews based on clinical site picked and can't just switch people around :(

I'm interviewing on July 24th at 12! Can't wait to meet y'all. Is anyone else coming over from the Atlanta area?

I had an interview for the 19th but had to switch due to military duty... Were you able to get it fixed?
