UAB BSN Spring 2015 Hopefuls

Hey, there! I just wanted to start this thread in case there are others out there impatiently waiting for an acceptance like me. I would be glad to hear from you, and it wouldn't hurt for us to become acquainted, either.

This will be my 3rd time to apply to UAB, so I hope that the 3rd time is the charm! I have also applied to Jeff State as a backup. Good luck everyone!

I would like to post my stats as it may be helpful to others:

Overall GPA: 3.34

Foundation GPA: 3.34

60 hours of volunteer work

I am a second degree student.

I hope that we can use this thread to help each other and answer each other's questions! :)

I actually thought about applying but after looking at their application and requirements versus Jeff State, I decided to go with Jeff State first. I could get in with few classes. Good luck. I am going to do a RN bridge after working.

I will be doing the bridge, too, if I am only accepted at Jeff State. I was surprised at how simple, and fair, the Jeff State application was compared to UAB's, but UAB is my school of choice. I have heard great things about both schools, though. Good luck to you, too!

Yeah, it is VERY different. I am 41 and just needed to get the ball rolling. Also, I need to go at night and on the weekend. So I am just praying that Jeff State works out. Can't wait to hear your success story at UAB. Keep in touch.

Any other users get their acceptance letters yet? I got mine on the 30th and I feel like I can finally breathe! However, I know that no matter how hard I've worked to get to this point, the REAL work is about to begin! :up:
