Hello Everyone,

I hope all is well and Happy Nurse's Week to you all. I wanted to start a discussion forum for people who desire to apply for the UAB AMNP Program this Fall for the Spring 2019 class! My hopes are for everyone to gain insight in the application process, and have comfort in asking questions while receiving support and encouragement.

***If there are any students who are currently or have previously been in the UAB AMNP, please feel free to chime in to provide advice and any helpful tips from your experience with the application process as well as the overall program at large.

I am looking for roommates. :) Have signed a lease at an apartment I found after the interview. The apartment is a 3 by 3 and is 2 exits from UAB. I would also like to be added to the Facebook group if created.

Do you know when all of the acceptances are going to be sent out and when it's okay to announce to the public that we have gotten in?

I was told the letters would be sent out early this week. We should know by the 9th.

I think we all were told at the interview nov 9th is when final letters go out and that no public or social media announcements should be made until then - even if you already know one way or another before that day . I'm guessing that includes Facebook and this forum!

Hello everyone, I was just wondering your stats? I was wanting to apply for the 2nd degree BSN but my financial aid has run out because I took the long way around for my education :(. Now I am looking to see if I might be able to squeeze into the AMNP, I would be able to get financing for it.

Are there any guys that are being interviewed that can tell me what they plan on wearing? I’ve searched online for proper grad school interview attire and there are mixed suggestions. Some say wear a suit and tie and some say business casual would suffice. I don’t want to be overdressed but certainly don’t want to be underdressed. Who can help???
