UAB ACNP Fall 2017

I recently applied to the UAB ACNP Fall 2017. I have 7 years bedside experience ranging from Med-Surg, to Neuro ICU, and the last several years I've been in CVICU. I work at a world renowned facility, am involved in many councils, and have received many awards. My BSN GPA was 3.4, my GRE scores were ok at 307, and I spent a lot of time on my essay and reference choices. I am concerned about acceptance, however, because my undergrad grades from 15 years ago were pretty bad- my GPA was only 2.74. I know they only look at the last 60 hours (thank goodness!) but has anyone else with a similar background to my own have any feedback on acceptance? Thank you all in advance, I'm very nervous!

I applied too. I created a post as well and no one has responded.

I have 8 years of ER experience, CEN and CCRN. I took the GRE and got just high enough to qualify. My recs are excellent. But I'm out of state and I hear that makes it harder to get accepted. I hate that we have to wait until May to hear!

Do you have a backup? I'm looking at USA.

Hey sorry it took me so long to respond! Good luck, I hope you get accepted! We should hear any day now...🙏 I did get into University of North Georgia for FNP but I'd prefer UAB. Has anyone else heard anything yet?

I applied but haven't heard anything. How do you check blazer net to see if you've been accepted?

I think you have to have a pre-existing account if you were a student or faculty in the past...
