If you can create a blazer id, can you check the application site and see what your decision says? Mine says my decision is ready and I'll get a letter.

What program did you apply for and what was your GPA?

My GPA was too low and I had taken the GRE. I took enough hours to get my GPA up to exempt the GRE. Rewrote my essay. My recs were insane so those are no better I didn't chase down the same people. I have 9 years in the ER, my CCRN, and CEN and I work rapid response. Can't really imagine what I missed except GPA.

I got rejected by UAB last year. It hurts. But I called got advice, followed it and have applied again. I want this SO bad.

I applied for the Acute Care NP program for the 2nd time. I have 9 years of ER experience but my GPA wasn't high enough the last time I applied I took the GRE but that still didn't help. I have y fingers crossed this time did the trick.

SCRN that's great! Good luck!!! I don't think there are interviews for the Masters program, that may be why she heard so soon.

I applied too. I created a post as well and no one has responded. I have 8 years of ER experience, CEN and CCRN. I took the GRE and got just high enough to qualify. My recs are excellent. But I'm out of state and I hear that makes it harder to get accepted. I hate that we have to wait until May to hear! Do you have a backup? I'm looking at USA.

I don't know about the PTO but every hospital I have worked at has a policy about calling out during your notice. If you call off, you are not rehireable. Do you really want to burn a bridge?

Has anyone else applied for the Fall programs at UAB? I applied for the ACNP program. Just anxiously waiting to hear back at this point. I noticed in the past there have been groups. I figured I would start one. Anyone willing to share their stats? I had to take the GRE but I have 8, almost 9 years of ER experience, CEN, CCRN and great recs. I do live out of state and I hear that counts against you.
