Hey nurses :)
Are there any U.S. nurses that have worked in the U.K.? I'm hoping to move to London and am in the process of applying for my license there, but am nervous about making the move and feeling unprepared once I get there. I'm a peds nurse here for about ten years...will my experience be similar there?? Thanks for your help!

Do you hold an EU or UK passport or have you secured work rights? Most US education is not equivalent to the specialized U.K. education especially with the number of clinical hours
Hey justbeachy thanks for your response :) I'm working with a travel nurse company there and have almost completed the application with the NMC...they will accept U.S credits once your college converts them to clinical hours..it's a really long and not easy process for sure!

How did you get your college to convert the credit hours to clinical hours and lecture hours?
Hey lady...I contacted my college and explained that they wouldn't accept transcripts only and that they neede to be converted to hours. So far it looks like they accepted it so I'm guessing they did it right lol..good luck! :)
