wow nice good for u, I have a toddler that's 3 and I wanted to apply to the BScN at Ottawa U and Algonquin and will do that this week hopefully. I hope they accept me for fall and I hope the course load is not too much trouble. I dont know which campus is better Ottawa U or Algonquin, I've been to Algonquin its nice and nice ppl etc and I know Ottawa U is known for ppl being in the less friendly zone however any suggestions as to the teachers or profs and which campus is better or is is college easier on students a little????
just as unknown to me too... I know the classes size are smaller for RPN @ Algonquin, therefore it might feel more comfortable to study with people you know. I would assume since the university classes are bigger therefore one might feel like a nobody in a big crowd.
I am so excited! I hope you get in too.
So the wait is finally....over. I was denied acceptance in Ottawa U collab program, based on the reason that my average is lower than 77% for their accepting average.
Now there is a twist in the story. Before applying to the program I had reviewed my average as a CEGEP applicant with one of the admission advisors in U of O. We both agreed that I was 78%. I am unsure now about the criteria used during the admission process of my application, if they are saying I was denied because I was lower than 77%????
What do you think? Should I put up a follow up and seek clarification about how this was concluded? Anyway...I would greatly appreciate any input.
Hi there, I was accepted to uOttawa Second Entry program in early Feb (for a May 2013 start). However, I've since been accepted to UofT and Queen's for fall 2013 and think I would prefer to accept the offer from UofT. Unfortunately, due to the difference in start times for these programs, I have a feeling that I won't be the only applicant in this position!
I got innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!! I called and they did a mistake on their part and I was within range. I also got accepted for a scholarship. Alhamdulilah!
Congrats, learningmom!!! Does the collaborative program start in the summer or fall?

I wanted to start this thread for anyone applying for Fall of 2013. Whilst we are sitting around waiting to get our replies back.
Background: I was a stay at home mom for almost 6 years and now I finally applied to BscN and Practical nursing. When I start my kids will be 5 and almost 3. My husband is extremely supportive, I love him so much for helping me throughout this process!
I had a previous post about stay at home mom scared to go back. I can't believe I applied and now every morning I wake up looking forward for something big!
What is your story and how are you feeling about starting?
What can we do while waiting as to not go crazy!
