Nursing Students School Programs

I'm in the process of applying for TJC's transition program for Spring 2019.

I'm currently living about 5-6h away from Tyler, but will be moving if I'm accepted.

Just wanted to see if maybe there is anyone else on here that is also applying for the program OR anyone who has previously applied &/or completed the program!

Thank yall!

I wanted to ask how many they were accepting, but I feel like every time I ask a program that question---they never specify & always say "it depends on the number of applicants and the overall program size."

I wonder how many applied? Or how many they interview?

Have you applied previously or been in the program?

It so good to hear from you. I actually got my time mixed up. I did test at 1430 not sure why I thought it was 1330 lol. I now see what the levels mean. It was so random and I felt like I was taking Nclex lol. I scored a level 1 on the fundamentals. Congratulations on scoring a level 2. I couldn't really study as much as I wanted to cos I had just finished the A&P refresher course in 4weeks instead of 8weeks on the 30th and then found out that the only date I could test for the ATI was the 10th. I haven't applied for any other program yet but I plan on if I don't receive anything in my inbox by the 21st. I hope we get in and Goodluck to u too. I will definitely keep u posted, I hate waiting.

Oh my goodness. I can't imagine retaking A&P & especially in that short of an amount of time!

I'm currently working two jobs, so I studied mostly at work between patients & I still didn't feel prepared. I know that the minimum they will accept is a level 1, so that's good! I wonder what the email on the 20th will be in regards to.....This seems like a very extensive process. When I've applied to programs in the last year or so all I had to do was take the TEAS exam & then apply & wait for an acceptance/denial letter. I'm looking forward to seeing what our email on the 20th says!!

Hey there,

I actually tested at 14:30pm. Had my time mixed up. I scored a level 1. Congratulations on scoring a level 2. I got the ATI test book from Amazon and made it to chapter 7. There were 58 chapters. This is my 1st time applying to this program. Yes they were a lot of ppl

I wonder if they were all for the Transition program or if some of them were for the traditional fall semester too. I am anxiously waiting 3 more days. Praying we get in goodluck!!

I keep having my dates mixed up. It is actually the 20th that we will hear back from them if we got accepted. I know when I submitted my application I recieved an email before noon of confirming they received my application. Did u complete all your requirements for castle branch??? I only have the flu vaccine left to take. How I hate the waiting process.

I got the study guides on ATI, too. It was A LOT. I managed to make it to like chapter 42 & then I just started taking the quizzes at the end of each section. The "study guide" for the critical thinking did NOTHING for me. It wasn't even related. It was SO random. I turned in my application in person, so I didn't get an email. I have everything submitted to CB. I work for a pediatric clinic, so we have to get our flu vaccines annually. Is the 20th an acceptance email or just an email saying we have everything we needed to submit or if we're missing something? The entire time line on their TJC page confuses me! I didn't even think about traditional students taking the test the same day! Hopefully so, because there were SO many & if they had that much or more all 3 days & multiple times/day then there is A LOT applying for the transition program. The waiting game is the worst!

Yes I looked at the timeline and the ATI testing was for traditional and transition students. We all have the same deadlines. I just read the timeline and realize that u will only hear from them tomorrow if there are errors and you have corrections to make. We will actually hear from them on the 31st for Mini interviews. I had it all mixed up, o well the 31st is right around the corner.

Well, that makes me feel A LOT better if there were multiple programs testing at the same time!

And I was really looking forward to an email today. I hate this waiting game!

I called the ADN department--just to verify that we would only get an email if we were missing something. She said ALL applicants will receive an email after 5 o'clock, today, so be on the look out!

Hello Thanks for sharing this, I been waiting for my email. Now I can stop looking every hour. Glad you all did good on the ATI...

You're welcome! The lady I spoke with said the emails would be sent out "at the end of the business day, after 5 o'clock." How did you do on your ATI?!

Level 1 only. She told me they were only accepting 24 students into the program
