TWU Spring 2021 Applicants

Published

Hello everyone,

Are you applying to Houston, Dallas traditional, or Dallas N&W? I am applying to TWU Dallas traditional in August for Spring 2021. Right now I am finishing up some nursing core classes and I plan on taking the TEAS over the Summer if corona virus allows it. I also have TWU preference points that helped my admission score a lot.

What is your admission score? As of Spring 2020 admissions, to calculate your admission score, you can use the Google spread sheet. Download the file to put in your classes and grades.

My advisor said that the competitive range is between 50 and 55 for Dallas traditional.

Anyone hear anything from Dallas?

Nope... Still waiting... ?

Do you guys think we will find out today? It’s almost 8pm?

If we don’t get anything by 8pm... maybe it’s delayed again till tomorrow ?

The Houston advisor said early this week, hopefully before Wednesday night. I'm so nervous ??

How recent was this conversation? The Houston advisor told me today/tomorrow in an email this morning, and I would love to know if things have changed and we didn't know.

LOL it’s 8:01 and still nothing. I feel like they wouldn’t even be working this late anyways. Maybe we’ll find out tomorrow......

This was on Friday or so. I'm hoping we hear from them tomorrow ??

I vaguely remember someone saying “upcoming weeks” and I just hope that isn’t the case. We’ve been kept on our toes for a while

That was at a general transfer student webinar.

I'm thisclose to emailing the dean and cc'ing the program director. I try not to be hotheaded but if they keep breaking their word how can I trust this institution in keeping me on track to earn my RN? I'm trying hard not to Karen here, but I really feel someone needs to be held accountable for this collapse - staff, faculty, or administrators.

I'm big mad.

I really do hope we hear from them soon; we need time to prepare for January. Did you apply to Dallas or Houston?

Agreed... There are so many plans to be made before starting such an intensive program. I'm a little upset that admission decisions have been put off for this long. I think every other school has already made their decisions known.

No I understand your frustration. I’ve already had to pay the admission fee for a different school because the deadline for it was too close to whenever our admissions come out. I won’t think of it as throwing away money because I never know what may happen, but it would’ve been nice to know all of my options in the same time frame. Plus if we get accepted and part of our schedule requires in-person sessions, housing is something that I would’ve preferred a little more time to think about
