twu spring 2012 applicants!

Hey guys! I wanted to start a forum for us twu spring 2012 hopefuls!

About me

I have a 3.2, yikes! :sofahider, and after this summer it should come up to a 3.6 or 7 and I am studying my butt off for the teas and will only have 3 more classes after that to take. I have gotten into the university as the first step, but I am so worried about getting into the nursing program, fingers crossed :uhoh3:

I believe there are more programs down there than here in Dallas. The only choices we have are UTA, Baylor(which is outrageously expensive and I would not even consider), and Twu.

There's TWU, UTHSC, UTHSCSA, UTA, UTMB (galveston), Baylor, Lamar College (Beaumont), Prairie View A&M... and I think there's a couple more too

That would be awesome if letters were sent out last week in sept or first in oct. I was expecting sometime in nov lol.

last week of sept or beginning of october? really? Wow. I am not as hopeful as most of you but I was definitely expecting us to get notified around thanksgiving!!!

@heavykevy, yeah I hand-delivered a copy of my transcript showing I was core complete to the college of nursing and to student records, because I didn't want them to say they didn't receive it past the deadline. I also called and harassed them to make sure they had my teas score. I probably seemed like a crazy person because I called so many times that when I went up to the con they remembered who I was lol. Better safe than sorry in my opinion. The sooner they get the letters out, the happier we will be :) And yes, I simply must hang that diploma in my library amidst the mahogany shelves and leather books lol...

I called them and harassed them about the teas grades too :) you are not the only one. I also just applied for TWU and I'm having a lot of anxiety right now, I really hope we all get accepted. About the Patho I am having a terrible headache, I keep reading and the more I read the more I feel I haven't learned anything. I am going to send you a request on facebook too, if it is ok with you :) , by the way did you check the evolve online? It has quizzes but not very helpful just 10 to 15 questions

Has anyone tried to ride the TRE to Twu/Dallas? Or does anyone know anyone that rides the TRE? How close is the train station in relation to the school? I am wondering if it would be better to ride the train in than dealing with the parking situation.

bluebird... I have rode the TRE and it passes right by the nursing school. I am not sure how close the station is to it though because I was not paying attention lol. I am sure it would be better and cheaper to ride the train.

Hi bluebird- the medical/market center station is at the corner of Southwestern Medical Ave and Medical District Dr. and is half a mile south from the school.

Has anyone talked to admissions yet about the status of acceptance letters? I am tempted to call but I am sure they get a 100 calls a day around this time:)
