Hey guys!
Spring 2013 will be my last semester load before applying to TWU's nursing program in September. This semester I'm enrolled in Micro, A&P2, stats and nutrition.
My question is in regards to GPA. I just realized that the GPA is only for the pre-reqs and not your cum GPA. Does the GPA calculation still include courses like gov and history or only the nursing pre-reqs like Micro and Stats? Also, my first time in A&P and stats I had to completely withdrawal from the semester due to family so will they count that against me?
ARRGGG, it's getting so close and I'm crazy nervous!!

Hi! I'm in the same boat as you are, going to apply for TWU's spring 2014 class :)
If you go to their nursing school website you can download an excel spreadsheet where you can enter your classes and look at exactly what they will judge you on. All of the prereqs are on there and counted towards GPA. You get preference points for finishing A&P 1&2, stats, and micro with A's on your first attempts. When I spoke with the admissions counselor she said that competitive applicants have a 3.7+ GPA, over an 85% on the entrance tests, and at least 2 out of the 4 preferences. Hope this helps and good luck!
Also, I don't believe a withdrawal will count against you. Only your grade (I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure).

I am also looking to apply to TWU and because I am post BS degree, my process has been slow with just a few classes per semester. I work full time and still have 1 child at home. I am currently at TWU taking Stats and a USGov class. I am considering taking the Micro and Psych this summer so as to apply in Sept. Im taking the TEAs in May. Does anyone have any advice? I have a 3.5 overall. Been working for this since 2008. I know the 3.7 is very important to have. Now I am thinking just take Micro this fall so I can still manage. Is anyone else in my position?
