Hello Everyone,
I have been looking to see if someone would make a forum for us that are applying for the fall 2021 Texas Woman's University nursing program. Since I have not found one I decided to make one. So let's get this forum started! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Have you taken your TEAS and if so what was your score? If you have any questions or any information you would like to share please do! I am applying to Dallas and I have yet to take the TEAS.

Curious what your admission score was? ??

I was also accepted to the weekend/nursing program ?
Hoping you'd share your admission score! ??

It depends on your admissions score if you applied for Dallas. The usual admission score cutoff to be admitted without waitlisted status is 54. If your admissions score is lower than that, you were likely waitlisted or denied.
Houston letters have not gone out yet, but Dallas did this afternoon.

Good to know. Does that include the Nights and Weekend Program (Dallas) ?

I am not sure, but I do know Nights and Weekends acceptances have gone out, and the emails go out all at once, not one-by-one. I don't know their typical cutoff score because the program is so different.

Also, are there any type of scholarships that you saw by any chance through TWU that could be used for the WEP program. I noticed some semesters have 12 credit hours and some don't. So I was wondering if you could use scholarships with the semesters that they give students 12 credit hours. I'm sorry if these are really terrible questions, I just wanted to ask just in case you have any information in regards to anything like that. Thank you for any help.?
Hey! So, I do have health insurance outside of the program through my husband's employer which was lucky because we HAVE to have health insurance before we start and from what I have heard the health insurance is not cheap from TWU. I can't answer the financial aid question 100% because I put my tuition on the payment plans each semester and pay them as we go, but from what I've heard if you are planning to use financial aid you need to be prepared to pay for Summer courses out of pocket. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) handles all of that though and she will be there during orientation and will share her email for more specific questions

So your first semester in the WEP program you take Assessment on Tuesday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and Pharm on Thursday from 5:50pm-8:30pm and then assessment lab is on Saturday from 8am-4pm (usually they will split the class in half and the first half will go to campus from 8-12 and the second half will go from 12-4).
You also take patho in the fall but it is 100% online and there are no lecture or lab times. You CAN take this in the Summer, and honestly I really recommend it because the two fall semesters are both difficult.
