TWU Fall 2020 Applicants

Updated:   Published

Hey there. I plan on applying to TWUs N&W program in February for the Fall 2020 start. I just took my TEAS test today, my score was:

Overall: 85.3%

Reading: 87.2%

Math: 96.9%

Science: 74.5%

English: 83.3%

I'm not happy with my science score, but I also haven't taken A&P II or Chemistry yet, just A&P I. I plan on retaking the TEAS in December.

I have a 3.85 science core GPA (one B in A&P I) and 3.81 prereq GPA. that gives me a 45.56 admission score, which probably won't cut it. I can't retake A&P I in time, so my only hope is a higher TEAS score.

Who else is applying for Fall 2020? Are you applying to Houston, Dallas Traditional, or Dallas N&W?

To anyone who has registered for patho this Summer, have you received any information about the course/what textbook we need?

https://www.bkstr.com/texaswomansstore

Fill this out and it will the details. For used books or rented books, my lab access code is a problem. I am not sure whether we will get one with used or rental books.

I just looked it up on the bookstore online, but it's sold out there. Amazon has to rent for $11. You'll just have to purchase the online lab code once class starts.

Do you think we can get a lab access code with rented books because we need it.

No code with rented books, but you'll be able to purchase it directly from the pearson website. I've never bought a book, and I've always been able to purchase the lab codes separately.

The textbook info is on the orientation email they sent a while back.

How much does the lad code cost for patho text book ?

Hey, I will be applying for the fall 2021 nights and weekends program. Can anyone in the program say how it has been so far? Workload, how you like the format, pros/cons, etc. Anything helps! If I get it I don't want to overwhelm myself with my job.

Thank you!

Same question ?

What was your admission score? TEAS and GPA?

Hey guys! What's the difference between N/W and traditional program? Does one of it takes longer to finish?

Did anyone got into Dallas traditional with 58.8 admission score?

I'm pretty sure N&W goes during the summertime. But I'm thinking they finish around the same time. I got in Dallas traditional fall 2020 with 54 points.

Congratulations!! Even though I'm super duper late LOL.

Anyways, does that mean I have a good chance of getting into Dallas traditional with 58.8 or it varies each semester/year?

Also, did you have TWU preference? And what was your TEAS and GPA if you don't mind sharing?

58 gives you a very good chance of getting in! I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I didn't have TWU preference. My science GPA was 4.0 and I had an 89.3 composite on my TEAS.

GPA: 4.0  TEAS: 91.3 and admission score was 64 or 65.  I had a previous bachelor bump.
