I am starting this thread... a year early. That is how much I want to be accepted into the Fall 2013 BSN program at TWU in Dallas. I am taking my TEAS on August 30 so that if I have to, I can take it again the following application period (after September 1). I have finished my prerequisites (last week of Summer AP2 right now, hurray).
I hope other people see this forum so that we can all talk and encourage each other about getting into the program (and be stressed out together)! Seriously hoping that this next year flies by! I Look forward to get to know other hopefuls!
I haven't accepted either yet.. I'm leaning more towards TWU because I recently found out about UTHSC going through the summer. Which I'm not that big on. And I wanted to do patho in the summer and it's not allowed for UTHSC. Also, one of my good friends was accepted into TWU Houston so that's a perk for me. It's just hard to turn down such a great school like UTHSC. But then again I know both programs are great and competitive. Have you decided?
No, I'm still debating. It is very true that they are both good schools! I like the idea to finish school early, but then it is also nice to have summer off! I'm looking at the tuition to see if how much difference it will be between those schools. Do you know which school cost more or less?
Hey guys! I just checked my e-mail and I was accepted in the Houston campus but I'm accepting UTHSC instead, so there will be another seat available!
I've seen some people ask why they are choosing one over the other...my reason is because I like that UTHSC goes through the summer so it's only 16 months long and they just announced a couple of months ago that they will be the 1st school in Texas to offer a BSN directly to DNP in Anesthesia and that's my ultimate goal! They are both great schools though and I am feeling so blessed to have been accepted to both! Congrats to all the others that have been accepted and for those who have not or are still waiting...DON'T give up, this was my 3rd time applying and I got accepted to both this time!
Nici, what do you mean BSN directly to DNP in Anesthesia? What would be the difference in that than a CRNA? I ultimately want to be a CRNA and I haven't heard about this! haha :)
