TWU Dallas Fall 2011 Accepted!

It was recommended on the other page that we start a thread for TWU's Fall 2011 Dallas accepted nursing students. Here you go! Lets be cordial and get to know everyone. We are going to be doing the same thing and seeing one another for the next two years. I know I will have a lot of questions throughout this process. I think that we can help one another more than we know.

Let me start it off. Im Zeek. I am a post bac student with a degree in biology. Im originally from Louisiana.

im in the denton class this semester so i wont have many classes next semester. i think you should def.ly take it in the summer. you will need most of your time to focus on pharmacology.... (so ive heard)

ok guys. i must admit. im a little scared about the immunizations. the hep b takes 6 months to complete and i wont be done that until after nursing school begins. is that something that will prevent me from taking courses?

Hey everyone! My name is Becca and I am so excited to start nursing school this Fall! I am a post bac biology major from Dallas Texas. I hope I am understanding this right, we should take Patho during the summer to knock it out of the way? I work full time as of now, but hopefully I can squeeze some time in for Patho! Hopefully we will all learn more during orientation.

hi becca, the summer patho class is in dallas and online. it is highly recommended from previous students that we take the course before starting your first semester.

and yay!!! for post bac bio majors. i have a biology degree as well. :D

Ok I started looking for the class but for some reason all I am seeing is this 1 month class for Patho that meets Mon-Thurs for about three hours. Is anyone else finding the internet Patho class for the summer session?

I just registered for the one that meets M-R in Dallas. I read somewhere that is was recommended to take it in person if possible! I hope the one month thing doesn't kill me:-)

I'm going to register for the M-R Dallas patho as well! It won't let me register until tmrw though I think

I wish I could do the M-R patho class because I do prefer in class lectures. I really do not like taking classes online but unfortunately with work, it's all I can do. :rolleyes: I wish they would just let me register for something! I emailed the registrar so hopefully I'll hear something back soon....
