  1. I did Kaplan and loved it. It teaches strategies you need to answer the questions even if not sure about the content. Plus you get to review a lot of content while practicing questions. If you follow the study plan and take advantage of all online resources you should be fine
  2. 3.8 and 90 on teas
  3. Everyone, I have some info about the immunizations. If you check the attachments to the email we received today, you will find the prices for all our required shots. Don't panic yet, because there is a place to get them much cheaper. Go to any county health department and you can get all of those for $10 per shot. I went to the Dallas County Health and Human Services office (2377 Stemmons Frwy, Dallas) today. You don't have to have an appointment, they are open 8-4 every day. You can pay cash or checks only but they do have an ATM there. You have to bring your acceptance letter with you and I also brought the immunization form. I got first dose of MMR, first dose of Varicella, first dose of Hep B and the tetorifice shot. That was only 40 bucks! If I went to our school office, it would have been much more (each vaccine is pretty much $50, the varicella is $80). I also had to get the TB skin test ($30) because I am an international student. That's also the reason why I had to get all the vaccines done. I have been vaccinated for all the stuff we have to have done, but don't have any proof of that. I am going back on Thursday to get the skin test checked and then again in a month to get my second dose of MMR, varicella and Hep B. Hope this will be helpful...

  5. Hi, Epoynter, I can't take patho this summer either. Work. So I will see you in class... I know it would be nice to get it out of the way, but I think majority of people will be taking it in the fall anyway. I will look into the book in the summer as well and we can ask our classmates who take it in the summer how the class is.
  6. Jsippel, thanks for the link. I hate not knowing anything other than that I got accepted and can't wait to get more info at the orientation. This link definitely answers a lot of questions.
  7. Hi everyone! I am so glad we have this chance to talk and share experiences. My name is Mischa, and I am still crazy excited about getting in, just like you all. It's a great feeling. I can't wait for the orientation to learn what's ahead of us and to meet you. Zeek, thanks for creating the thread!!!
  8. Anybody interested in starting a thread or Facebook for 2011 fall accepted to Dallas? It would be great to stay in touch
  9. Yeah, I got an email. I thought we would first get regular letters of acceptance and then emails later but the email came first. There are always some students who get into multiple programs and couple spots will be open later so don't panic yet
  10. I got accepted to Dallas! Just found the email today. Congrats to my future classmates!!!
