This show absolutely cracks me up! I don't care how nurses are portrayed in it...it's just funny!
I think what got me hooked on it was the very first episode when Turk first asks Carla out, she told him no and when he asked why, she goes into this little rant about surgeons and their "God" complexes, etc., etc., etc. I about peed myself because she was right on the mark! LOL :chuckle I wish I could remember exactly what was said because it was TOOOO funny!
Scrubs is actually #1 on my TIVO season pass! It's just the funniest show on TV nowadays, IMHO. Don't really mind the way they portray docs and nurses - oftentimes a sarcastic spoof on reality if you ask me. I liked the one where Turk tried to get Carla to go to practitioner school and she put him in his place by explaining why she WANTS to be "just a nurse" instead. Love JD's daydreams and Ted's band...
Did anyone else see the episode where Brendan Frasier's character died? The way they did the whole Sixth Sense kind of a thing, and the way they had me going from laughter, to shock, to tears - all in 28 minutes - convinced me that this show deserves far more recognition that it gets. Excellent television.

Is this the one?
"Carla: Well, you're a surgeon. So, you've got the god-complex, the cockiness, the whole "married to the job" thing. You're cute, but you're very, very aware of it. You have no idea what I'm like, so all of your feelings for me are coming from [she points to his midsection] down there. But most of all, I'm looking for the real thing; and you're nothing but a little boy who's not used to being told "No." So there's a bunch of reasons. Pick your favorite."
The scary thing is I have worked in hospitals and medicine for the last 16 yrs and if you look hard enough some of the things actually take place. Mind you not in front of patients. The relationships some Drs and nurses have and try to hide from coworkers- they dont do so well let me tell you, course some do better and it takes a while to know who is dating whom.

Just wondering what people think of the TV show "Scrubs"
It's a comedy about the daily lives of medical residents. One of them is engaged to a nurse. They protray the nurses as strong independant thinkers (most of the time). What do you think about this show?
