But for me I had no issues with time or test anxiety, so I just stuck with tutor mode.
Ok, see I have anxiety. And my classmate was thinking because of that I may be setting myself up. I started my anxiety meds. I'm hoping it helps. Because I am just learning and retaining better in tutor mode.
Right, its fine to do a few timed exams here and there, but as you said its better to just learn the rationale right there and then while you're already on the question in my opinion. Either/or you really just need to grasp those rationales, Uworld rationales are golden compared to any others I've tried. If you can do that you're set! Good luck!

Thats my whole thing. When I learn it right then and there, I can apply it to other questions. I really think I'm just gonna keep riding it out with the tutor mode. I test next week!!! Thanks!!!
I did almost all of Kaplan in tutor mode, because I too felt that I retained better by looking up answers as I went. I never had issues with time though, and felt the few timed exams were enough to get in the mindset. If I were you, I'd mix both tutored and timed, and increase doing timed ones as you get closer to the exam. It will help your anxiety immensely when you get into the real test. Good luck! :-)

Thanks!!! I test next week. So I will probably do a day or 2 of timed.
Do you think one is better over the other? Is it hurting to do only tutored? I retain better with the tutored, and scores have been way higher. But I don't know if I am setting myself up for failure.
I do it on tutor mode most of the time. There is times I do it on timed mode but it just depends lol. I think tutor mode is good because you can review the rationales immediately rather than waiting until the end. I test on Tuesday, and will most likely do timed mode on Saturday and Sunday as well just to time myself with each question.

I've been doing the timed tutor mode!! I really like it. But I test Wednesday, so probably Monday, and half of Tuesday, I will do timed.
