Turn Team

Good day everyone. I would like to ask if you have turn team assignment that will turn patients every 2H to prevent skin breakdown. We have only 4-5 staff working in our unit (24 beds). Oftentimes, we have 11-15 patients that needs to be turn but having only 4-5 staff doesn't seem attainable especially if we have to clean and change the patients. Kindly share your thoughts or practice.. thank you.

while I sympathise with your plight I don't see hospitals and nursing homes hiring extra staff for this type of position. There are ways to cluster care and workgether with your peers to get this done.
