Tulsa Hospitals

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Hi everyone!

I start 3rd semester at CSC in the fall. I am wanting to work in Tulsa upon graduation. I have heard that Tulsa hospitals hire new grads to their ER floor. The ER and possibly, later on, ICU is where I want to work.

I have a few questions. Which Tulsa hospitals do you think have the best ER? Which hospitals have the best working environment, such as benefits, nurse/pt. ratio, shift differential pay, etc? I actually would prefer to work midnights, so that is not an issue.

Also, is it better to apply before I take the NCLEX or after? I have read that some people apply to jobs and they will hold them for you till you pass the boards.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. I have heard that Hillcrest was not a good place to work. Those ratios are insane. I hate to hear that you are in that situation. Are you considering applying at another hospital?

Good luck to you and thanks for the information.
