I work at my local hospital and i start my nursing program in January 07. They reinburse up to 3600 dollars a semester. I think that even includes books but not for sure its just a rumor i heard havent asked myself yet. But i am though. My hospital reinburses 100 percent for an A and 90 percent for a B. And you dont even have to be full time you can part time too. Im so excited cause this is going to help my out financially so much.

There's a girl in my LPN class who works at St Francis and she said they're paying almost all of her classes, but I don't know what the restrictions are for it. I know St Johns also offers it but they require 2 year full-time committment. I had hoped to have them pay for my RN and BSN but that would require a total of 4 years committment and I'm not sure I'm ready to do that. So I may try to find a way to pay for one of them myself and then I would only have a 2 year committment.
Gengrl...by the way, St Francis does their own Patient Care technician training it is more advanced than CNA and they don't even hire CNAs anymore. So maybe you could get on and go through that class and then they would pay for you to continue on.
Yes, the girl in my LPN class is a PCT there and they do their own training. Here's a link to the info for the class
By the way, I also just saw on their website that their work committment is 6 months for every semester they pay for.

I have a question in regards to tuition reimbursement. Has anyone worked for a hospital and one of them pay for their nursing degree? I work with several nurses that went through CNA and then LPN programs that were paid for by some local hospitals, and they suggested that I check out St. Johns and St. Francis because they both do this (I am sure others do as well). I was just kind of curious about their programs.
Thanks,
Gena
