Tweety glad that his condo is close to completion

Stars glad they are willing to help out after the cataract surgery

NJ22 does sound like a nice day

Ado I hope he does get his disability

Finally had a good day at work.  And this despite having an hour long meeting.  No new cases, no massive amounts of emails or documents to review.  Had time to do laundry during the day.  Was a quiet night too, mostly exercised

Nothing going on at work today, hopefully it will be quiet too.  After work have the usual grocery shopping and exercise

Will be a bit warmer today, in the lower 80s.  It's that unpredictable time of year where you don't know if you should wear pants or shorts

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day at work.

Average day here.  Did the sweeping and mopping and had breakfast.  Will go to the hour-long hot yoga class today.  Do a little meal prep for the week and then relax some.

I got a refund for my airport parking reservation which I parlayed into getting 10 class yoga pass.  Also got the ironic email that my time off for the vacation I canceled has been approved.  I will leave it alone and take it as I'm now maxed out on PTO accumulation within the coming weeks.

We're having cooler days...I.e. upper 80's instead of 90 which is still our normal high.

Oh, yeah, I DO (dod-doo) have IBS-D. I am not sure what the "new" meds are for that kind of thing, but I can look it up. The "D" part of the IBS is happening more lately. Last night it was 1:30 AM when I woke up and tried my fastest to get to the bathroom in time, but failed miserably. Had to take a half-shower ( of the lower half.  TMI ? ) before I could go back to bed. Thank the Lord for long pads, as they saved the bedding anyway. I do have to go get some more PJ bottoms, as I only have one pair and they had to go in the wash. Being a human being can be a real trial sometimes. 😳

I bet if I had an entire month off from Nannie-duty and these constant house-wifely chores, I would experience a decrease in my "incidents".

She accrues the used pads, pull-ups and chux and makes the trash bags weigh a ton. At least  I don't (shhh, I'd better not!) have the urinary incontinence she has. I always have to remind her that if she is sitting on the toilet, she should try to pee. She tells me she doesn't "know" if she has peed or not. I tell her to push on her bladder from the inside and ask, does it feel like there is urine there? Then she pees. I tell her all the time, "If you are sitting on the toilet, THAT is the right time and place to pee." And lo and behold, I hear the tinkle hitting the water. Imagine being so disconnected from your body that you don't know if you have peed or if you have to pee, and don't do it until you are told to. Of course the rest of the time she is one long, slow leaker.

I  got up late and then got Nannie up....she has 'breakfasted' (at 1:30 PM!) and now I wait to see if her eyes close.

Last night Tinker got into a genuine loud barking fit.....The groundhog came out from under the shed and nosed around for something to eat; THEN two does came out of the back  woods (no, spell-chek, they did not come out of the backWARDS. Honestly, being corrected wrongly is so silly; like the laptop thinks it knows what I am going to say! I guess they have the AI hooked in to  it, because I have only started receiving these 'corrections' more lately. Don't like being 'pushed around' by this automated, DUMB intelligence feature.

I have to take Tinker out for a yank around the yard, and *I* don't yank her! It is very much the other way around. Maybe by now my meds have decreased the discomfort and urge to limp to avoid the twinges and twangs in my knees and the front of my thighs. The walking on uneven ground is not so bad if those symptoms are fading.

Blah-blah-blah. I should start posting, like we used to do in patient charts in the early 1970's, when it was acceptable to just note "Status Quo" and sign my name.Of course, then y'all wouldn't get the juicey anecdotes and complaints. Probably you could recite them all by heart now, anyway.

Yesterday the lady at the ear place "lowered the Brightness of the sound quality" and turned the volume down to 73, and now it feels kind of like I have cotton stuck in my ears. The background noises haven't really decreased appreciably. But I have an appt with her on Friday at 3 PM, so maybe we can find me a happy medium. But, I really am being a good do-bee by wearing the aids all-the-time, in order to let my ears and brain adjust. Yesterday when I was describing all the really LOUD sounds in my household, and she said, "You really haven't been hearing well for quite some time." I said, "Apparently not." But even when I did hear well without any assistance , the background sounds did not scream in my ears. I suppose it is one of the reasons a lot of folks give up wearing them. Hubby's best friend had TWO pairs of very, very expensive sets of hearing aids that always sat on the top of his dresser, unused. However, *I* am giving it 'the old college try", so I am somewhat hopeful things will work out......OR, I will learn to tolerate the un-naturalness of the sound qualities.

I could type forever, but I am having pity on y'all and stopping here for now....

Argh, why does getting a medication refill have to be so complicated?

I saw the Dr. last Thursday, and forgot to ask him to renew 4 prescriptions, but I did tell the MA checking me in that one prescription needs to go to Costco. So I called Costco Friday (it was too late on Thursday to call), and they said they will fax the Dr, and it would take 2 business days. In the meantime, Dr office sends all prescriptions to old pharmacy, including the one they can't get. I ask them to send the one to Costco, like they did last month. But today, I need to contact Costco myself.  I call Costco, and they were bewildered but agreed to call other pharmacy. No wonder many seniors don't take meds as directed. Rant over.

After I left the pharmacy I got a latte and took the dogs to a park near the river. It was quite pleasant, sunny, a little breeze, big shady trees. We walked to the rivers edge so the dogs could take a drink. They actually waded in, when normally they hate getting their feet wet. It is an off-leash park, and there were several labradors jumping and splashing in the river.

I need to research and write an article for a newsletter, and I am procrastinating. I updated my payment information for a couple of bills, registered for online Trivia tonight, and sorted through emails. Time for lunch!
