Tweety glad it was cooler

Hi sirI

Stars glad you will get a break too

NJ22 not familiar with that, maybe a hematologist could help

Quieter day yesterday.  Bird watching in the morning.  Then came home and did the cooking for the week, which didn't take long.  Didn't have a lot else to do, so I watched a movie.  Decided on the 1974 Murder on the Orient Express, which I've seen before and liked.  Used the exercise bike as my legs were tired from the long bike ride yesterday

Today have grocery shopping but nothing else unusual going on.  Have been planning to take a day off towards the end of this month and a day off at the end of next month.  Will take some planning, I find that if I have little to do on a day off (like yesterday) I get bored but I can also over schedule myself on days off

Will be another cooler day in the 70s here, although I think it will be warmer Tues and Wed

SiL came to get Nannie a while ago, and I want to go back to sleep.....but NO! I am going to get up and do some of the stuff I have been chafing at the bit to get to. Half way through my 2nd cup of coffee and I still feel like I could close my eyes and drift off. Maybe I should put some energetic music to boost my "want to", to "going to", and reach an "I dood it!" place in time? I'm trying to boost myself into putting my feet on the floor. I know if I ignore the things I want to get done, I will not be pleased with myself later today!

Carpe Diem you ol' Lazy Bones!

Hello all!

Joe, we love any of Agatha Christie's books made into movies!  The 2017 version of Murder On the Orient Express was good too -- just different from the one with David Suchet as Poirot.  Actually, dh likes all three of the Kenneth Branagh versions of Agatha Christie books!

Couldn't sleep last night.  AND, when I sat up a couple times for water or to go to the bathroom, I was momentarily lightheaded -- lasted 10-15 seconds then stabilized.  I did orthostatics (LOL, yes I did), and BP was good/appropriate.  HR, on the other hand, was 44 lying, 48 sitting, and 55 standing!  So I held my morning bisoprolol and messaged my Cardiologist for parameters for holding the bisoprolol.  I am just not sure if I should hold it if HR is below 50 or below 60?    Am feeling fine, in general (I.e., no changes!).

Dh and I went to a Vietnamese restaurant yesterday, to have pho (soup) at lunch).  It was VERY good, and we found out later that it is a branch of our favorite Pho Ha restaurant about 15 minutes away!  So, YAY that it is right here in our area!  We ordered some sauteed veggies to take home, will have those for supper.

It will be another VERY hot week here, with temps 103-108 every day through the weekend.  I think I wrote about that yesterday...  Hopefully, SOON, these scorching temps will end, and more fall-like weather will happen.

No Stars, good luck with your projects, while Nannie is away (and you are NOT lazy)!

Have a good day/evening!

Yup, yup, A-Yup! I DID get a bunch of stuff done in my room, worked at it for 3 + 1/2 hours! I cleaned out the closet, hung up all my clean clothes, cleared 2/3rd's of the room, dusted shelves and furniture, got out my small box collection and distributed them on the corner shelving, put up photos on the shelving that goes with my Queen Anne desk, rearranged some other wall photos, set up my CD player/tape player/radio so I can actually USE it, cleared off the dresser and arranged a few photos and a small stack of books on it. My rocking chair is now facing the trees/wooded area.  YES!

But at the end of this room 'fixing', I will have to go into my old room and start weeding and tossing and donating things from in there. I have so much STUFF! But that room is not so urgent to clear out, and I can keep the door shut to hide the mess.

It is 5 PM and I have quit for the day! The next few 'projects' will be vacuuming, and switching out my bedside table( s).... but not until after BiL cuts 2" off the legs of the platform bed that my son-in-law made for me years ago  .... My new mattress is so much thicker than my previous mattress, my legs actually DANGLE when I sit on the edge, and my butt wants to slide off the edge of the mattress, even though it is the firmest mattress I could find.  With those 2" gone, my feet will touch the floor, and maybe then one of the bedside tables will be the right height. Right now it's kinda/sorta like Goldilocks...one is too high, one is too low, but neither is "just-right".

Don't know what supper SiL will be sending over, but I am HONGRY! That still doesn't mean I want them to bring back Nannie sooner! I might have to go down to the kitchen and see what I can nibble without ruining my appetite. Or I might just stay here, reclined on my bed, with Momo snoozing beside me.

It is positively wonderful that my room is now feeling and looking like MY room! YAY!

G'day

Hi Joe, hope you have a good day.

Stars, sounds like you had a productive day.

Dianah.  Sorry about the trouble sleeping.

I haven't done much today.  Didn't sleep much myself and my get and go has gone up and left.  I went to the pharmacy at work to get my sleeping meds.  Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't.

I stopped by a restaurant to get a veggie burger, but no one was at the register and the people in the kitchen were busy and looked at me but no one acknowledged me.  So after a reasonable amount of time I took my invisible self away.  I went to a store called "Fresh Market" because they sometimes have Hatch chilies when it's season and they did but they were $2.99 a pound.  I hadn't been there in a couple of years and inflation hit them hard.  Everything was so expensive, I took my cheap self out without buying anything.  I then went to Walmart.

Congrats on the room arranging, No Stars!  How nice to have a space that is specifically, ALL yours!

After lunch I drove over to the discount tire store and made an appt for tomorrow, for four new tires.  Then I stopped and got dh's burritos for the next week, at our favorite spot.  Then stopped by the grocery store to pick up bar soap (which we had forgotten at yesterday's trip), then got gas in the car.  The pump handle would NOT dispense, so I walked back to the office/store, and the young man re-did the transaction.  I walked back out to the car, and the handle still would NOT dispense gas.  Felt like it wasn't getting a good seal, so the pump was not 'enabled' to pump gas.  So I walked baaaaaaack to the office/store, and we re-did the transaction, and the young man came out with me to see what could be the matter.  He ended up pumping a full tank of gas for me, as he had to physically HOLD the pump handle to maintain the seal so the gas would pump!  At least it was all done, and he was very kind to come out and help like he did.  I got the car washed, too, so at least it doesn't have the dirt available on windows for someone to write "Wash Me" in the dust!!

OK, home now and got to sort the mail and decide what is for supper.  Probably leftover Vietnamese veggie stir-fry, yum!

Have a good evening!
