Good morning!
Joe, glad you got help and it wasn't so bad. Hope you have a good day today.
Stars, I can relate to slogging around and putting off getting things done.
I have heartburn issues too but thankfully not often at night. I have Pepcid on hand but don't take it lately. My GI doc advised me not to take while I'm ill. Apparently long term use can disrupt the gut microbiome among other things. But I suppose it's one of those risks vs. benefit situations and taking it for an acute episode is okay.
Monday was supposed to be "clean the bathrooms Monday" but didn't get around to it. I did manage to mow the grass and wash my car.
Bowling was fun but we won only one game and will remain in last place. If the team a place above us didn't win any then they will tie us for last place,
Today I'm meeting best friend at his condo for lunch and going to the beach. Supposed to be sunny today and upper 70's. I will bring a jacket in case it's windy and cooler in the afternoon but will wear shorts.
Toozdaies mean nowhere to send Nannie for the day; just a time to tolerate getting through the day without internally spewing like a volcano, AKA a quiet emotional implosion. Can't be mad about the dementia as it will never get better, but OMG it is tough not to get angry; I guess from the sheer repetitive nature of the beast. And if she would stop whining, that would be nice; if she spoke clearly instead of gurgling run-together words in the back of her throat. Even with the hearing aids in I have to say "What?" waaaay too many times.
Going to get up and dressed and take Tinker outside to walk the yard's periphery. Then get the Nannie-person up and dressed, fed and give her the routine meds. Other wise - Whoooooo knows. Oh, but of course I can't forget Nannie's laundry is once again paramount today. And it is amazing how HEAVY a trash bag can become with all those used incontinence products from one 24 hour period of time.
That's an outline of the weight of my world today. Tons of Fun. One of these days I will have a whole bunch of my time to myself, and look forward to being able to futz around and get my rooms looking less like a hurricane has blown through them. ("One of these mornings, I'm going to rise up cleaning....")
Today turned out to be sunny and cool. We did get a light frost last night. We are enjoying the last of the fall color before the next big storm comes in and knocks the last of the leaves off of the trees. I took the dogs for a long walk, helped dh pot up some flowers, and then we went to see his mom for her 88th birthday. She looks better than she has for a long time. My bike is back and fixed, but I didn't squeeze in a ride. Perhaps tomorrow. I need to dig out my long, warm, bike pants.
Last night I took 1/2 of a xanax, and omeprazole and got better sleep. I raised up the head of the bed a little, too. I've used pepcid in the past with no effect. I hadn't thought about using gas-x. I've had issues with GERD in the past, enough to cause a red throat, cough, and hoarseness. Ultimately, pantoprazole was the only thing that helped. I had to endure an US, CT, MRI and upper endo to get that prescribed and I don't intend to go down that road again.
I am camped in front of the TV waiting for election results. I know, it's weird, but to me this stuff is interesting. Only local races in my state, but I am interested in elections on the east coast.
I missed wishing Annie a happy birthday, so, Happy Birthday!
Every time I see a birthday here I think back to Herring, who always posted a birthday meme.

Tweety hope you feel better
Happy birthday Ado. Thanks for sharing the photos
Hi Stars
NJ22 I take famotidine in the evening if I think I might get reflux. Have used omeprazole too
Work was not great but not as bad as I had feared. Had help from 2 of our float people, so I didn't have to cover for the absent coworker on my own. Had some time during lunch to do the laundry. Exercised after work and stopped at the credit union, a fairly quiet night
Today should be better at work, coworker is back and hopefully my schedule won't be too busy today. After work have the grocery shopping
Will be in the low 60s today
